Ally Cianni, LIMHP, NCC
Hi, my name is Ally and I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. I have been working in mental health for 8 years and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with children 5+, adolescents, and adults.
My therapeutic approach includes Choice theory, mindfulness practices, and play therapy techniques. I encourage my clients and families to live and function with intention and understanding. Choice theory reminds us that all people–children included–have the basic needs of survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun! When our needs go unmet, we make choices–helpful or hurtful–in an attempt to feel fulfilled. In my practice, we identify the unmet needs that are causing our anxiety/depression/stress, we learn mindful practices to cope until the need is met, and then we can meet the need and make better, more informed choices.
You already have the capacity to feel secure, lovable, powerful, free, and joyful. I am simply here to empower you and help you leave my office better equipped to understand and mindfully meet your needs than when you walked in
