Michele Jack-Love, MS, LIMHP, NCC
Michele Jack-Love is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Substance Use Counseling. Prior to working in private practice, she worked in a community counseling clinic in both inpatient and outpatient settings for individuals suffering from severe persistent mental illness. Michele has 16 years of experience in the helping profession working with individuals from a variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
Michele specializes in trauma work, both single-event and complex trauma. She was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in 2019 through EMDRIA (International Association). EMDR is an extensively researched and evidence-based method of therapy designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. Often those who have experienced trauma also struggle with addiction. Trauma leads to states of dysregulation, leading many people to substances for relief.
Michele provides individual psychotherapy for adults with conditions such as: anxiety, panic attacks, nightmares, depression, childhood hurts, stress, dissociation, grief and loss, trauma, PTSD, and more. She takes a holistic and integrative approach to therapy to fit individual and unique needs including (but not limited to) EMDR, CBT, REBT, Humanistic, Solution Focused, and Client Centered. Michele is a member of The American Counseling Association (ACA), the Nebraska Counseling Association (NCA), The EMDR Regional Network, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Healing is possible. If you are ready to take your life back, Michele feels privileged to walk with you on your journey to health and healing, reminding you that you are not your trauma and you are not alone in this experience.
