Paul Heft, LIMHP
Paul graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2019 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He has worked in his community counseling clinic and in transitional living as an outpatient counselor. Paul takes a more eclectic approach to therapy: he feels that throughout the therapy process, the entire person must be taken into account. Certain personalities, issues, and experiences lend towards different approaches, and he believes in being adept at all interventions.
Paul became a therapist because he firmly believes in the power of therapy. Mental illness is still not a priority in society. Even on their best day, Paul strongly believes a person can benefit from therapy. Paul has worked closely with cases involving trauma, depression, personality disorders, addiction, and anxiety. He also has a background working with Native American and LGBT populations. As a counselor, he feels it’s his duty to advocate for minority populations.
