Human connection is one of life’s most meaningful experiences. From the moment we enter this world, human connection is one of our core basic needs. I see curiosity, empathy, trust, and shared smiles as the ingredients for building human connection, and I also see these core elements in therapy. I blend approaches from approaches from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), play therapy, and sand tray therapy with a person-centered approach in therapy. I draw from my experiences utilizing play therapy, working with trauma, system involved youth, crisis counseling, and behavioral therapy to guide me in walking alongside my clients as we explore what healing looks like together.
Healing can happen at any age or stage, I enjoy being able to connect with people no matter where they fall in that. I have experience providing therapy across a wide range of ages from 3 to 45. All brains are different and I take pride in being neurodivergent affirming in my approach. Discovering how to live a life worth living can be hard and also incredibly rewarding. Because growth and healing are as unique as the individual experiencing them, I prioritize collaborating and connecting to find the best pace and approach to therapy
