There are times in life when we face overwhelming challenges. Sometimes, we face problems with addiction, emotional distress, or raising our children. Whatever the reason may be, stress can take its toll on our well-being.
As a counselor and guide, I seek to help people discover a path that will help them overcome their challenges and find a way to thrive. By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, my clients learn to identify strengths and find the ability to change. Through this process, clients understand that their circumstances don’t prevent them from having satisfaction in life. And that sometimes, all we need is a little hope to get us through!
Since graduating in 2019 with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Doane University in Lincoln, NE, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings serving families, teens, and adults. And by applying the principles of CBT and DBT lives were changed. Clients discovered new solutions and found new perspectives to address their challenges. And that’s exactly what it takes to overcome.
“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
